No. The entire Babaru model runs on-device. His memory, voice, and personality live inside the plush itself — so he works on planes, on hikes, and even if your internet is having a day.
Wi-Fi is only used for occasional personality updates (opt-in), firmware patches, and syncing highlights to your account if you choose.
Babaru remembers conversations, names, preferences, and running jokes — so your friendship actually builds over time. All of that sits encrypted on the device.
You can wipe his memory any time from the companion app (gives him a fresh start), export it for backup, or put him in guest mode for when someone else plays with him.
